Halloween at the Workshop

We were delighted when Emma, the daughter of our Marketing Manager, said she wanted to have her Halloween treasure hunt in the rocking horse showroom.

We decorated with hand crocheted pumpkins (thank you very much Jacqui) and hid treats all around the workshop and showroom.

Emma and her friends were absolutely wonderful. Of course, they found all the treasure! They tried out all the rocking horses in the showroom and even roped Marc in to read them all a story to them while riding rocking horses.

 Every Halloween, we also have to share these fabulous photos of Marc and Deborah Stevenson taken with Sir Paul McCartney at his home, surrounded by homegrown pumpkins.

Several years ago, he was kind enough to sign a rocking horse to help raise money for Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. He also added a lyric from the famous Beatles song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Have you ever noticed this lyric? Listen out for it next time! "Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies." Wonderful!
