Having lived all over the world; in England, Malta and Kenya, we are incredibly aware of the delicate state of our planet. We made a commitment over 40 years ago to run our business to have a positive environmental impact from the outset. 

 

For every rocking horse we make, we send the owners a hardwood sapling that Christmas with instructions on how to plant it. We encourage our rocking horse owners to involve children in planting and nurturing the tree so they also get a better understanding of nature and how to help our planet. We call these "Magic Rocking Horse Trees" and they now live in nearly 10,000 gardens and parks across the UK.

Within our workshop, we ensure all our resources are used efficiently to keep our waste levels extremely low and reuse / recycle wherever we can. We source our wood from sustainable forests in England and keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. Our delivery routes and journeys to events across the country are planned to minimise travel miles and emissions. We only use non-toxic paints and sustainably sourced fabrics in the production of our horses.

Personally, we all love nature and being outdoors. We all have gardens full of a diverse range of planting which encourages nature to thrive. We are seeing more bees, butterflies and insects in our gardens. We proudly support the RHS and have been exhibiting at their events for many years.
