The Story of Ted Star at HOYS 2013

17/12/2012

The ever popular Clydesdale gelding, Ted, star of Sally Anne Oultram’s book "The Story of Ted" will be delighting visitors at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) in 2013. The event will run from 9th – 13th October 2013 at Birmingham’s NEC where it will be celebrating it's 65th anniversary.

Ted, owned by Sally, will appear at the "Think Like a Pony" area at the event. Situated in the Retail Village section of the NEC, this area will offer visitors the perfect opportunity to get up close to this well known horse and to learn more about the different breeds.

As an Equine Ambassador for The Rare Breeds Survival Trust, Sally purchased the Clydesdale foal in 1998. Ted suddenly fell ill but fought back against all odds and his story inspired Sally to write the now famous children’s book "The Story of Ted." The book and subsequent DVD portray the adventures of the young foal in the Cheshire countryside.

The Horse of the Year Show is always a popular event and one which we look forward to attending, particularly in this anniversary year. We hope you can join us, and Ted, at the 2013. Tickets are on sale now.
