The Royal Nursery

William and Kate are said to be refurbishing Apartment 1a at Kensington Palace and Hello! Magazine has commissioned two interior designers to show their ideas for how the new Royal nursery might look. Using images of previous Royal nurseries and the interiors of Kensington Palace for inspiration, these are the designs as created by Christopher Prain and Guy Goodfellow.

Christopher Prain’s design draws inspiration from ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ and also features an RAF search and rescue helicopter. Guy Goodfellow visualised a more traditional room fit for a Prince or Princess.

It’s wonderful to see that rocking horses are such a strong feature, as they have been in previous Royal nurseries. Both designs feature rocking horses, including the Stevenson Brothers 30th Anniversary Dapple Grey in Guy Goodfellow’s design.
