Is Mad Cop Passing Through Your Town?

27th March 2012

With only five days to go until the Mad Cop III challenge begins, the initial leg of the journey has been revealed. Mad Cop, Andy Seery, will travel from Land's End to Coldstream in Poland on Ella-Mae, his specially created Stevenson Brothers rocking horse.

The third Mad Cop is the latest in a series of unbelievable charity challenges completed by Metropolitan Police Officer Andy Seery. The first Mad Cop was dreamed up during his own recovery from a serious accident and involved running the equivalent of 40 marathons in just 31 days from Trafalgar Square to Poland. The second Mad Cop challenge involved rowing a converted 13-foot topper yacht to the Ukraine.

This third Mad Cop challenge will see Andy rocking the roads of Europe dressed as St George riding his noble steed, a specially adapted rocking horse made by Stevenson Brothers. The first leg of Andy's route will see him passing through the following towns:

  • Lands End
  • Plymouth
  • Torquay
  • Exmouth
  • Sidmouth
  • Bridport
  • Poole
  • Christchurch
  • Portsmouth
  • Chichester
  • Worthing
  • Brighton
  • Eastbourne
  • Hastings

Andy will then pass by the Stevenson Brothers workshop at Bethersden near Ashford before a run to Calais via the tunnel. Andy is hoping to complete the first leg of the journey in around 10-14 days and we wish him all the best of luck. The challenge starts on April 1st and will raise money for ABF The Soldier's Charity, Starlight Children's Foundation and The Injured Jockey's Fund. You can make a donation to help Andy with his spectacular fundraising efforts.
