Mad Cop is Go!

5th April 2012

The Mad Cop III challenge has now officially begun. Andy Seery, the fundraising police officer also known as Mad Cop, set off on April Fool’s Day on his latest epic challenge. Andy started his journey from Land's End on 1st April and will travel all the way to Coldstream in Poland dressed as St George riding a rocking horse!

His noble steed, Ella-Mae, was specially designed by Stevenson Brothers rocking horses and we are all proud to support the brave and exciting fundraising efforts of Andy Seery. Mad Cop III

Affectionately known as Mad Cop III, this third Mad Cop challenge is just the latest in a string of unbelievable charity treks completed by the Metropolitan Police Officer.

Mad Cop I came about as a result of Andy’s own recovery from a serious accident. This challenge involved running the equivalent of 40 marathons in only 31 days and took Andy all the way from Trafalgar Square to Poland.

The second Mad Cop challenge involved rowing a converted 13-foot topper yacht from the UK to the Ukraine. This third Mad Cop adventure will see Andy rocking the European roadways dressed as St George upon his noble steed. This first leg of Andy's route takes him through the following towns, including past our rocking horse workshop in Bethersden where we look forward to waving him on.

Andy is hoping to finish this first leg of the journey in around 10-14 days. All funds raised will be split between: ABF The Soldier's Charity, Starlight Children's Foundation and The Injured Jockey's Fund. You can make a donation online to help Andy with his incredible fundraising efforts and follow his progress with our regular news updates.
