Chailey Heritage Foundation Rocks

04/02/2016

We are working with Coles the Estate Agent in East Grinstead and Forest Row. They gave Mr & Mrs Comer a rocking horse as a gift for purchasing their new home through them and in turn the very generous Comers have made a gift to the wonderful children of Chailey Heritage Foundation.

We were delighted to receive this letter and photo from Joan Martin, Fundraising Officer at the charity, and hope that the rocking horse donated by the Comer family brings many hours of enjoyment to the children they help.

"Dear Messrs Stevenson, I am writing on behalf of Chailey Heritage Foundation. We have been very fortunate to receive the donation of one of your outstanding rocking horses generously donated by Mr & Mrs Comer.

Chailey Heritage Foundation is a pioneering charity providing education, care and transition services for children and young people with complex physical disabilities and health needs. We are recognised as one of the UK’s leading centres for children and young adults with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy, and we have a national reputation for our work in supporting young people’s communication and developing independence through powered mobility. Our aim is to provide a stimulating and inclusive environment where all young people are given every opportunity to make progress towards fulfilment and develop life skills in preparation for adulthood. Our charity encompasses Chailey Heritage School, Chailey Heritage Residential and Chailey Heritage Futures.

We thought you might be interested to see the photograph and article on the Chailey Heritage Foundation website and to learn that one of your rocking horses is being enjoyed by disabled children."
